I talk to loads of clients, and guess what? Many struggle with the same thing—Imposter Syndrome. You know that sneaky little voice in your head that whispers you’re not good enough, that you’re a fraud and any minute now, everyone’s going to figure it out? Yup, that’s Imposter Syndrome, and it’s just like that annoying mosquito buzzing in your ear all day. Dealing with this nagging voice in our heads is pretty exhausting.

When suffering from Imposter Syndrome, you’ll find yourself putting things off, avoiding tasks that feel a bit too hard, or letting opportunities slip because, well, who are you to think you can do it, right?

If you thought that dealing with imposter syndrome was annoying, meet its evil twin—Perfectionism. 

This one tricks you into believing that anything less than perfect means you’ve failed.

So, you set these crazy high standards for yourself that you’d never expect from anyone else. Like working late, skipping lunch, triple-checking every email because OMG, what if there’s a typo in your perfect newsletter.

Truth is, no matter how hard you work, it never feels like you’re doing enough. The ultimate recipe for burnout.

Like it isn’t bad enough, that imposter voice has you playing small. You start selling yourself short, thinking your skills aren’t that special and your offers are just ‘meh.’

So, you set your prices too low and give away too much for free, hoping that your ideal clients will in return be lining up to work with you. But instead, you get crickets.

You also bend over backward to please super demanding clients trying to prove your worth. (needless to say, you’ll never be able to satisfy every client) And all this does is take time away from doing what you love and growing your business.

Take my client Aby; she was struggling with major Imposter Syndrome when we first started working together.

Aby is a passionate health coach and nutritionist with a heart for helping women live healthier, more fulfilling lives. But she was caught in the trap of Imposter Syndrome, constantly aiming for perfectionism that was stalling her progress.

Aby was obsessed with creating the perfect Instagram posts. She’d spend hours editing photos, overthinking her captions, and obsessively checking her metrics.
