Why Focusing on Less Can Help You Achieve More in 2025

Thrive On Purpose Podcast

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by the endless to-do lists, the constant push to achieve more, and the pressure to always be “on,” you’re not alone.

For a long time, I believed that the key to success was doing more—more goals, more offers, more social media posts. But after years of juggling all the “more,” I realized something crucial: more doesn’t always mean better.

In fact, doing more often ends up leaving you stretched thin, disconnected, and wondering if all the hustle is even worth it.

That’s why this year, I’m choosing to focus on less. Fewer goals. Fewer offers. Fewer distractions. Instead, I’m doubling down on what truly matters by going deeper in my relationships, nurturing my community, and creating a sustainable business that works for me, not against me.

And today, I want to invite you to do the same.

Why “More” Isn’t Always Better

We live in a culture that glorifies doing more—more work, more content, more results. But when we constantly chase more, we often lose sight of why we started in the first place.

I’ve been there. I was running a business, raising a family, and trying to do all the things. I thought that if I just worked harder, created more offers, or posted more often, I’d finally “arrive.”

But instead of feeling fulfilled, I felt burned out. The endless striving left me drained, and it showed in my business and my relationships.

If you’ve ever felt this way, let me tell you: you don’t have to keep pushing for more.

Why Focusing on Less Can Help You Achieve More

Choosing to focus on less isn’t about giving up or doing less work. It’s about creating space to do what really matters—deeply and intentionally.

Here’s why focusing on less can actually lead to more meaningful results:

Clarity Over Chaos:
When you focus on fewer goals or offers, you can pour your energy into what truly aligns with your values and vision. This clarity allows you to make a bigger impact without spreading yourself too thin.

Connection Over Chasing:
By nurturing the relationships you already have—whether with your audience, your clients, or your loved ones—you create trust and loyalty that can’t be manufactured by simply doing more.

Quality Over Quantity:
Instead of rushing to create more, you have the time to refine and perfect what you’re already doing. This makes your work more impactful and fulfilling.

Sustainability Over Burnout:
A business that focuses on sustainability—financially, emotionally, and physically—is one that lasts. By doing less, you’re not just achieving goals; you’re setting yourself up for long-term success.

What “Less” Looks Like in My Life and Business

This year, I made the conscious decision to simplify, and it’s been a game-changer.

In my business, I’ve streamlined my offers. Instead of constantly creating new programs, I’ve focused on making my core offerings the best they can be. I’m also spending more time nurturing my existing audience—like you—rather than chasing new leads.

In my personal life, I’ve let go of the pressure to have every moment perfectly planned. Homeschooling my kids is no longer about rigid schedules; it’s about flexibility and focusing on what truly matters. I’ve also made rest a priority, treating it as a non-negotiable part of my routine rather than something I earn through productivity.

This shift has allowed me to show up more fully in every area of my life. And I promise, when you focus on less, you’ll feel the same way.

How to Focus on Less in 2025

If you’re ready to let go of the hustle and embrace a more intentional approach, here are a few steps to get started:

1️⃣ Reflect on What Truly Matters:
Take some time to review your goals, offers, and commitments. Which ones feel aligned? Which ones are draining you? Focus on the things that bring you the most joy and impact. need help with that? Here’s my free reflection guide to help you.

2️⃣ Prioritize Depth Over Breadth:
Instead of launching multiple offers or chasing more clients, focus on creating deeper connections with your current audience and perfecting the offers you already have.

3️⃣ Simplify Your Systems:
Look for ways to make your business more efficient. Whether it’s automating tasks, outsourcing, or streamlining your processes, simplifying can create space for what truly matters.

4️⃣ Make Rest a Priority:
Burnout isn’t a badge of honor. Build rest into your schedule and treat it as essential, not optional. A well-rested you is the most productive and creative version of you.
